Who we are

# The people behind the sorting table.

Vibe Collective turns Vancouver's spare clothing into two kinds of good at once: clothing for people who need it in Uganda, and meaningful paid work for people rebuilding their lives close to home.

Our mission

## Nothing usable wasted. Nobody written off.

VIBE Collective — Venture In Building Equality exists to create pathways to opportunity, dignity and sustainable economic development for people and communities, locally and abroad.

We are always rooting for the underdog — the person who has been overlooked, underestimated, or given fewer opportunities. With the right opening, guidance and support, people accomplish far more than others expected of them.

Locally, we provide employment, volunteer work, mentorship and pathways to meaningful work for marginalized people and those rebuilding their lives through recovery. Work and purpose rebuild confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.

A circular economy for textiles. We divert usable clothing and material from landfill and give it a second life through reuse, recycling, redistribution and responsible trade — turning what is treated as waste into opportunity, and cutting environmental impact while we do it.

Internationally, we support communities in developing countries by encouraging, sponsoring and helping launch small businesses, entrepreneurs and grassroots ventures that create employment, generate local income and build long-term economic independence.

Above all, VIBE Collective is about believing in people before they believe in themselves — giving the underdog a chance, recognising potential where others may not, and standing beside people as they grow.

Our vision is a world where no person is defined by their past, no useful resource is needlessly wasted, and every individual and community has the opportunity, support and confidence to build a better future.

We keep our promises as promises, not as inflated statistics. What we can say plainly, we say. What we can't measure honestly, we don't pretend to.

The sorting team

## Real work, paid fairly, that matters.

Our team are people rebuilding their lives in recovery. On the sorting line they do skilled, hands-on work — checking quality, sorting by size and season, and packing every shipment. It's paid work, treated as work: a steady rhythm to the week, a role to take pride in, and a visible result at the end of it.

We don't tell their stories for sympathy. We hire for the job, pay for the job, and let the work speak. The clothing you donate is what makes that work possible.

"Real, paid work that gives back to the community — it's changed how I see my days."
